After a couple days of photo walking with some wonderful local photographers, my knees were a bit worse for wear. So yesterday I decided that I would take it a bit easy. Well, after Travis (our Border Terrier) and myself began getting restless, the lil fella and I departed for the local dog park for him to run off some energy and see some K9 friends in the old neighborhood.

As usual, along came my camera and it ended up turning into a fun shoot. There were a lot of characters there, so I had plenty of running, sniffing, barking models… Something I am beginning to get a bit more interested in. So much so, I think I may start putting some more focus into the local pooch-shoots.

While there I meet Mike Lasky, an owner of a bouncy 11 month old Rottweiler and fellow shutterhound. Had a good chat and talked shop for a bit… Anyway, I think throughout the process, I pumped out a couple-three hundred shutter flips and once I got home I realized the daunting task ahead of me. There were a ton of great photos in this batch and the weeding out process has taken a loooong time. But I do love some post-processing. It’s gonna be a fun couple of days of work…

Today’s work will be limited however, in lieu of my beautiful fiancee’s birthday. So we’ll be onto other more important business.

Stay tuned… more images and a compilation gallery will be coming soon…
