Recently I had the honor of shooting promos for the upcoming theatrical event, “Girl You Know It’s True,” put on by the Pavement Group in Chicago, Illinois.

It was a last minute project called to me by my friend Emma, a costume designer here in the Windy City, and even with the short notice the shoot turned out to be a blast. The actors portraying Milli Vanilli were wonderful models and fit their parts well. Not to mention the actor portraying the playwright, Bixby, handled the simple yet very effective “writer’s pose,” like a champ. They all made my job a breeze. 😉

All that said, I wouldn’t be doing my friend justice if I didn’t toss in a plug. So if your in the Chicago area between April 12 and May 13, the show is running each Thursday thru Saturday. Starting at 7:30pm, it all takes place at the Chopin Theater on 1543 W Division.

The live show revolves Bixby, a playwright who fails to gain regard due to his rather boring and dime a dozen background. Bixby soon takes on a false persona, using a wheelchair bound, African American female stand in and gains instant recognition. Additionally weaved throughout, is the story of the tragic 90’s group, Milli Vanilli. It’s gonna be a hell of a show. 😉

For the record, this is my first promo shoot. So let me know what you think.
