Portraits are not an area of photography I commonly carry out. However, over the last weekend a friend of mine here in the Bay invited me to join them at a studio opening in Fremont and while there, he really pushed me to do some portrait work.

So after some nudging and watching as some fellow photographers were getting down with the studio lighting setup, I found myself drawn more and more toward the subjects peering into the lens. I didn’t shoot much, but everyone had such a wonderful personality and energy that I soon couldn’t help myself. I took about 4 frames of this lil fella here while he sported his hilarious fake mustache and ended up with something I had to share.

Much thanks to Henry and Rendy for talking me into flipping a few frames while in Fremont, CA.
