You don’t take a photograph, you make it. – Ansel Adams
The world is big and we have but one life. I’m of the mentality that its always best to make the most of it. So in the summer of 2012, my fiance, our dog and myself sold everything and moved from Chicago to the San Francisco Bay area. Throughout a 7 day, 2000+ mile road trip I documented the landscape of our travels and this book is here to share what my lens captured. Splitting between full color and monotone work, you will find photos taken in Illinois. Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
Its been a wonderful journey and I hope the images within help to share with you, the adventure I will forever remember from that summer of 2012.
Acknowledgments: The project was a labor of love and I want to thank my beautiful fiancee, Jane for her inspiration and support, my damn good friend Nate Card for putting in some late nights helping me edit down the endless collection of images and most of all, my wonderful parents for putting everything together and getting us to our new home. Who could ask for better people in our lives. Love you all and thank you so much.
